Web Design
"Bespoke website
design for Bed and Breakfasts, Guest Houses and Hotels"
|
|
I have been helping accommodation owners
maximise the
response from their websites since 1999:
My website designs are clean,
unfussy and work - they convert surfers into clients !
Service is
comprehensive and includes:
-
Website design
-
Photography and graphic image
generation
-
Internet marketing research &
advertising advice
-
Search engine optimisation and
indexing (SEOI)
-
Advice on hosting, email
accounts, linking etc.
-
Enquiry forms
-
Web visitor statistics and how to
use them
-
Maintenance and support packages
Many and Varied:
I produce all
kinds and sizes of website.
As a rough guide,
my fee for a 5 page website, with enquiry form would cost from £300 + from
£130 photography.
This includes all the services above (except support/maintenance).
Waking up old,
tired websites:
I also specialise in updating and modernising existing websites.
Some TLC usually works wonders!
Value and
Experience:
Working by myself
from an office at home means I do not have the overhead costs of larger
companies, staff etc - this is reflected in my prices.
Clients value my business experience
(see Background below).
I take great care ensuring that the
website does what the client really wants - Sounds obvious, but having
been "at the sharp end" myself, I am often able to spot things
clients have forgotten. This means the site works 100% from day 1.
Often, a new
website offers new opportunities not foreseen by clients.
My job is not finished
until the client is 100% happy and the site is delivering.

Background
"Things
I have done"
|
After a 5 year
spell working on large mainframe computer installations, my first real career
was in screen and photomechanical printing. I set up and developed a
very successful, state of the art company specialising in the
manufacture of control panels, decals & components for the
electronics and aerospace industries. We had a multinational client
base.
I developed a considerable expertise in graphical user interface (GUI)
design. In plain speak, this is the design of man/machine
interfaces - making sure the buttons, dials and displays are laid out in
the most understandable and usable way.
(The most well-known GUI today is probably Microsoft Windows).
After selling the company, I moved west, bought and then developed a holiday
cottage complex business where I gained valuable knowledge of the
tourism
industry.
After a short rest I returned to digital graphics and
now specialise in designing websites for small businesses and advising
on all aspects of internet marketing.

"Your website will
only succeed if it has top quality photographs"
|
|
These days, top quality images are more important than ever:-
They are vital
for successful websites.
Shooting the photographs myself ensures an
integrated design and minimises costs for the client.
